Sometimes email accounts will have security settings that prevent our system from connecting. If you have trouble getting an email account to connect, check to make sure these settings are set properly:
- Allow Less Secure Apps. This setting must be turned on in order for Indexed I/O to connect.
- 2 Factor Authorization is turned off. We cannot connect to an account with 2 factor authorization the standard way. Either turn the feature off temporarily, or refer to this article.
- Some google email accounts will prevent sign ins from new locations and request a 2 factor authorization code even if you don't regularly use this feature. You can bypass this by signing into the account and then clicking on this link to go through a captcha process that will temporarily allow sign ins from anywhere.
