If you need to load a production that was produced by a 3rd party, there is some preparation you'll need to do first. Most productions come as a zip container, so start by extracting it to view the contained files. We require imported records to be document level PDFs, so if the production is made up of single page TIFF images you'll need to contact email@example.com to receive assistance converting them, or request complete documents from the 3rd party.
*Note - To convert single page records we require an OPT load file.
Once you've confirmed that the documents in your production are not single page images, the next step is to remove any slip sheets or place holder images. We can only load one file per listed record, so you will need to decide which version you want for anything with both images and native copies. We recommend creating a new folder in the production called "upload" and moving the copy you want into that folder. Do not include TEXT or DATA files in this folder, only IMAGES and/or NATIVES. Once all of the records are properly sorted, re zip the newly created upload folder, and then process that in your project like you would any other data.
Once the collection has finished processing, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the load files from the DATA folder attached, and we will overlay the information on the collection and assign the records the proper bates numbers. If you would like the TEXT from the production to be applied rather than have it re extracted by our system, you can upload the TEXT folder from the production to the project's SFTP server, and include that information in your email.
*Notes - The following load file fields are required for 3rd party imports. A global timezone must be specified if there is not one listed for each line item. Multi-Value fields need to be delimited by Semicolon. If no ParentBates, we assume BegAttach is the ParentBates.
