When will files be OCR'd?

The system will check for a few basic conditions before it applies OCR to a document during processing.

1. Did the document have extractable text? If yes, no OCR will be applied.
2. Is the file a container? If yes, no OCR will be applied.
3. Is the document a JPEG? If yes, no OCR will be applied
4. If the document is a PDF or other Image file, and all of the above answers were no, then OCR will be applied to the file.
